Why should I choose About Pens?
We have been in business since 1985, and with so many years of experience, we believe we must be doing something right. Other than custom indent orders, our products are directly imported and stocked locally, which means they are ready for decoration with fast turnaround and delivery times. We provide friendly service and strive for 110% customer satisfaction.
Do you send out samples?
We are happy to provide free samples. However, to help keep our prices low, we will supply up to 3 metal or 3 plastic pens for your consideration. If you require more, we are happy to provide them free of charge, provided you cover the associated postage cost.
Most samples will be posted on the same day or the next day via Priority Post. Please note that brand name pens such as Parker and Waterman will be charged and are not available as free or returnable samples.
Do you offer price matching?
Yes. We offer 110% total price guarantee. We believe that our prices are extremely competitive, and offer to match any competitor’s price. The product must be exactly the same, at a regular price and from an Australian Company. Remember our prices include everything, setup, delivery, art including logo and GST.
Can I place order with assorted colours of pens?
Yes you can. But each individual colour must be subjected to a minimum order quantity, usually starting at 50. Note any change in printing colour will be associated with additional setup costs.
What coloured writing ink is in the pens?
The pens come with black ink, but we do sell blue refills if required.
Do you offer an EXPRESS Service?
Yes, we are able to print and dispatch many stocked items with our express 5-day dispatch service. We can ship via standard land or next day air couriers such as StarTrack and TNT/FedEx, depending on your urgency.
Artwork
Can I have a logo added to a pen?
Yes, and there is no extra charge for a logo. However you must remember that a pen has more length than height and not all logos suit being shrunk to small sizes. If you’re not sure, you can always send through your logo file in PDF/EPS (vector) files for us to put together an obligation-free artwork mock for you.
Where do I send my artwork?
Please email your artwork to info@aboutpens.com.au.
Kindly provide your logo in EPS, original PDF, or Corel file format. JPEG and PNG image files are also accepted, but may incur additional time and cost for vectorisation to ensure high-resolution printing.
What colour print can I have?
Currently, About Pens offers 3 types of printing services: Pad Print in 1 or 2 colours, Full Colour Digital Print (on most plastic and metal pens), and Laser Engraving (on metal pens only).
How many characters are allowed?
We don’t work with characters, you will see that each pen has a print area so it is up to you how big or small you want your message to be. Usually we can fit up to 2 lines per print area, but this will depend on each’s pens barrel width/print area.
If you are uncertain, email us your logo/text requirements, and we will make suitable recommendations and provide obligation-free artwork mock options for you.

Shipping & Payment
If I place my order today, when will I receive it?
Dispatch is usually within 8 – 12 working days (depending on order size) from approval of artwork and payment. Please contact us if you require your products earlier or if you wish to apply for an account.
How do I pay for my order?
We accept direct deposit (Commonwealth Bank of Australia, BSB 064 130, Account No. 10908325), MasterCard or Visa (1.4% surcharge applies to credit card payments).
For card payments, we can either take payment details over the phone or provide a payment link.
How are my pens delivered?
We use reputable couriers such as StarTrack, Couriers Please, and Direct Freight Express. We only deliver to street addresses, as we do not deliver to PO Boxes.
How do I track my order?
If you wish to track your order, let us know and we’ll provide the details of the courier, tracking number, and website for online tracking.
What if I received damaged or broken items?

How is my privacy protected?
We value your business, and your trust. Therefore, we will not sell, rent, nor give away any customers’ e-mail address or contact details to other businesses. The reason we request your e-mail address is so we will be able to send you information regarding your order, (order confirmation, order processing, and tracking number). We may e-mail you discount offers in the future. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, we have an unsubscribe button at the bottom of our “Special Offers”. Click on this and we will remove you from our mailing list.
